I'm Malisa and I founded Oatmilk Publishing, a brand-new independent children's publisher, and we're eagerly looking for our first authors and illustrators. If you've got a story to tell or pictures to share, we'd love to see them.

We publish picture books for children aged 0 to 8, in two groups: ​​

​​​​Early Years (ages 0 to 5)

The types of stories that are made for reading aloud together. We love playful books full of rhythm and small adventures, perfect for little ones to join in with and ask for "again!".

 

At this age the pictures do a lot of the storytelling, so let your illustrations shine.

Key Stage 1 and beyond (ages 5 to 8)

Stories for children who are finding their feet as readers, whether they're sharing a book with a grown-up or proudly reading it by themselves. Here we're after stories with a bit more to them:

• characters who solve problems

• humour that makes them snort with laughter

• and worlds just big enough to get lost in
